CarolAnn "CAN-DO" Jeronimo makes her official visit to our club on Thursday, 09 Dec 2010.
 
CarolAnn was first exposed to Rotary in 1959 when she was a scholarship camper to Camp Ro-Li in northern New Jersey It was the kindness and giving of Rotarians (unknown to her and her fellow campers) that allowed CarolAnn to experience her initial camping experience. As an adult she pledged to herself, that if ever given the opportunity to return the kindness, she would.

She attended Morrisville College in New York State and has been involved in Accounting and Finance most of her adult life with a brief detour as travel agent and Innkeeper. She is the Controller for ADS-S.com in Swedesboro. New Jerscv.

In 2000 she became a member of the Woodbury Breakfast Rotary Club. Her first club position was the editor of the club's bulletin. She continued her leadership roles by serving as treasurer, president-elect, Centennial President, and membership chairman. She is a graduate of Rotary Leadership Institute, a RLI Faculty team member, charter member of the Paul Harris Society and fifth-level Paul Harris fellow. She has served as Special Representative for the Logan-­Swedesboro-Woolwich Rotary Club, Assistant Governor, and treasurer of District Conference 2008 and 2009. She has perfect attendance,

Rotary may be Carol Anns passion but she is involved in the United Way of Gloucester County having served as a team member of the Campaign Cabinet 2001-2003, Event Committee 2002 to ­2006, Marketing Committee 2003 to present and the creator of the United Ways' mascot, "Splash". In 2005 she was the recipient of the Spirit of United Way Award. She is also a charter member of the Women's Leadership Council in Gloucester County.

Additionally, she is a Founding Director of Rebuilding Together Gloucester County, and served as their treasurer. She is a Director for the Greater Woodbury Chamber of Commerce and has served as Audit Committee Chairman and Finance Director. During 2001-2005 she was an Ernergency Services volunteer for the Gloucester County Chapter of American Red Cross. In 2003 she received the Emergency Services Volunteer of the Year award. She has served as a comrnittee member of the Second Century Champaign for Underwood-Memorial Hospital, past member of BP\V (Business Professional Women's). Command Ombudsman USS Kitty Hawk and Past Northeast President of Navy Wives Clubs of America.

CarolAnn is married to Retired Navy Chief Mike Merchant. Mike also is a Rotarian of Woodbury Breakfast with perfect attendance. They reside in Logan Township with Chief: the dog. In their leisure time they both enjoy camping and cruising.
