Schiavo Library in Strathmere Collection Point for Lions Eyeglass Recycling program
The Ocean City - Upper Township Rotary Club has announced a campaign to collect eyeglasses in Upper Township in conjunction with the Lions Eyeglass Recycling program and the Lions Blind Center. NJ. Initial collection points are at Township Hall and the Schiavo Library in Strathmere. OCUT Rotary Supports “Lions Recycle for Sight” eyeglass collection program in Upper Township
The Ocean City - Upper Township Rotary Club has announced a campaign to collect eyeglasses in Upper Township in conjunction with the Lions Eyeglass Recycling program.
The Rotary Club has been supporting Duane Sonneborn’s Lions Eyeglass collection process in Ocean City since 2021 and recently also established additional recycling boxes at two new locations in Upper Twp.: Township Hall in Petersburg and the Schiavo Library in Strathmere.
All types of used eyeglasses and sunglasses, prescription and nonprescription, for children and adults are accepted, including exceptionally strong or weak prescriptions.
Reading glasses are also useful for those who perform close-up tasks while at work. Sunglasses are needed for people living near the equator, especially those with cataracts.
All Upper Twp. eyeglass collections will be delivered by the Rotary Club to the nearby Lions Blind Center in Absecon. > https://lionsblindcenter.org
