 – Ocean City Acting Postmaster
Eric Hitchner, Acting Postmaster, Ocean City Post Office, will be the guest speaker for the Rotary Club of Ocean City - Upper Township dinner meeting on Thursday, Nov. 13, 2025, at 5:30 pm at Fitzpatrick's Deli & Steakhouse, 650 New Rd, Somers Point, NJ 08244.

The program will be Eric Hitchner, Supervisor for the Ocean City Post Office and currently the Acting Postmaster (A). 
Eric started my career with the US Postal Service (USPS) in 1994 in Absecon NJ and has held many different positions throughout the years. He came to Ocean City in 2017 as a Letter carrier and moved into management in 2018.
Eric will be sharing some of the rich history of the Ocean City Post Office and the USPS services here in our community.
Eric and his wife Pam are Upper Township residents and have been married for 29 years. They have 4 daughters and 7 grandchildren. The Hitchners are an avid outdoor family and love Ocean City and the surrounding waterways.
