Guy Forcone, Resource (Foster) Parent Recruiter with the NJ Division of Child Protection and Permanency (DCPP), will be the guest speaker for the Rotary Club of Ocean City - Upper Township dinner meeting on Thursday, Mar. 13, 2025, at 5:30 pm at the Somers Point Diner, 8 MacArthur Blvd, Somers Point.
Guy Forcone’s talk for the Rotary Club will address details about his agency’s “Foster and Adoptive Families” program here in Cape May County and southern New Jersey.
Forcone has worked for the Division for 21 years as a caseworker, investigator, and processed people to become foster parents. He has been a recruiter with DCPP for the past 10 years.
DCPP is responsible for the safety, protection and well-being of New Jersey’s children. According to Forcone,
when it is determined that children are not safe in their home, and have to be removed, there is a need for placement in loving and safe foster homes. Furthermore, sometimes this leads to adoption if the children cannot be reunified with their families.
As a recruiter for DCPP, he goes into communities to find people interested in becoming foster or adoptive parents.
Forcone noted that his office is a licensed adoption agency and can facilitate the adoption process.
Prior to his roles with the DCPP agency, Forcone worked at the Atlantic City Rescue Mission for 10 years.
Guy Forcone is available to do presentations for groups that would like to learn more about DCPP and the process for foster and adoptive families. And he can also be contacted directly for any direct family inquiries.
