Rotary Club OC-UT Thursday April 28th In-Person Meeting
 - Friends of Bernie Friedenberg Memorial Project in Atlantic City

The Rotary Club of Ocean City - Upper Township in-person breakfast meeting for Thursday, April 28th, 2022, will be a special program about the ongoing effort to build a memorial to World War II medic and U.S. Army Staff Sg. Bernard “Bernie” Friedenberg in Atlantic City. This April 28th OCUT Rotary meeting will be held at Uncle Bill's Pancake House, 2112 Asbury Ave., Ocean City.
Retired FBI Special Agent Robert Turkavage, of Brigantine, will give a presentation about the project build and install a bonze statue of staff sergeant cradling a wounded soldier in his arms on Omaha Beach on D-Day, June 6, 1944.
April 28th will be the first in-person program meeting this year. (There will not be capability for a Zoom component.)  
Rotarians and friends of the of the OCUT Rotary Club are welcome to attend. Morning meetings beg
in at 7 am and usually last about 1-hour.
 
Turkavage co-chairs the Friends of Bernie Friedenberg project that was started in 2020.
 
 
Please be advised that our program for April 28 has now been moved to Thursday, May 5th at 7:00 am, at Uncle Bill's Pancake House, 2112 Asbury Ave., Ocean City.
On May 5th, the Club will be giving awards to three seniors from Ocean City High School, who have participated in the Rotary Interact Club over the past four years.
 
Rotarians know the importance of service above self. Your attendance to honor these young students is appreciated.
