The Alzheimer’s Association was the program for the Rotary Club of Ocean City - Upper Township dinner meeting on Thursday, May 8, 2025. The program was part of the kick-off for the OCUT Rotary Club’s participation in this year’s Ocean City Walk to End Alzheimer’s, on the Ocean City Boardwalk Oct. 25th. Mary Beth Lewis, with the South Jersey Office of the Alzheimer’s Association Delaware Valley Chapter, received a certificate of appreciation from OCUT Rotary Club President Aslam Sheikh with the notation that the Club will make a donation for 200 children to be immunized in her name as our Club and Rotary International continues our commitment to eradicate Polio from Planet Earth. Sangeeta Appel gave a review of the Alzheimer’s Association. She has over 5 years of experience working with families dealing with Alzheimer’s and other dementias and is a Certified Dementia Practitioner instructor and volunteers as a Community Educator with the Alzheimer’s Association.
